It was a scorching hot afternoon. I was heading to the ice cream shop that was just a stone throw away from my house to buy some cooling ice cream. Suddenly, I heard a loud collision. I instantly turned to the direction where the sounds came from. To my horror, there was an accident involving three motorcycles.
The accident happened as a motorcyclist failed to obey the traffic rules. In order to save time, he went through the red light. However, he did not notice that there were two pizza delivery boys from the other side were approaching.
When the two pizza delivery boys saw the motorcyclist, they tried their best to avoid colliding with his motorcycle. As a result, they lost control and fell off their motorcycles. Fortunately, three of them only suffered from minor bruises. However, they were crying in pain.
Fortunately, a few kind-hearted passersby approached them and offered them their helping hands. One of them called the ambulance while the others tried to pull them to the side to resolve the piling traffic.
It is so heart-wrenching to see such accident happened as it is avoidable. There are a few ways to prevent such incident from happening. First and foremost, road users must always abide the traffic rules to ensure everyone’s safety. Besides, it is crucial for all the drivers, cyclists and motorcyclist to put on their respective protective gears to cut down injuries even if accidents happen. As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure. It is always better be safe than sorry.
